Para Transpo

Para Transpo is a public transportation alternative [paratransit] for customers who are unable to take conventional transit (buses and O-Train) some or all of the time due to a disability. It is funded by the City of Ottawa and administered by OC Transpo. (source)

Eligibility Requirements

Persons with a disability would generally be considered eligible for Para Transpo service if they are unable to take conventional transit (buses and O-Train) some or all of the time.

A person with a disability who does not qualify for Para Transpo's door-to-door service in the summer months may still be eligible for service during the winter months.

Where do I apply?

How far in advance should I book my ride?

Para Transpo trips must be reserved in advance. Please call one day before you plan to travel, or consider making a regular booking for trips which occur the same time on the same day each week

Does my attendant have to pay?

OC Transpo will accommodate customers who need the help of a support person or attendant to use transit. For information about attendant programs with Para Transpo, click on this page.
